Attention to detail, expertise in surgical technique, and pioneering work in the area of Natural Fat Transfer sets Dr. Koplin apart from other surgeons. For nearly 20 years, he has used a combination of these techniques to create shapely, natural-looking figures. If you are considering liposuction, you may want to also consider using the fat to correct loss of volume from various places in the face.
First Week:
During the first 48 hours following surgery, you’ll experience some degree of swelling and bruising. Rest quietly the first few days after surgery, but we encourage you to walk around and be out of bed.
• Do not take aspirin or certain anti-inflammatory medications.
• Avoid straining, bending over and lifting
All your tiny incisions are closed with hidden dissolving sutures, so there are no stitches to remove!
Second Week and Beyond:
Bruising typically disappears between seven and fourteen days. You will still have some swelling, which can take three months to completely resolve as we actively encourage our patients to return to normal activities quickly. Most of our patients wear their custom garments a minimum of two weeks, when they can then resume active exercise.
